Kathy Dumbleton graduated from the University of Wales, completed her pre-registration year at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 1985 and received her MSc from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 1988. She is a diplomate of the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry, a fellow of the British Contact Lens Association, a council member of the International Society for Contact Lens Research and on the board of directors of the American Optometric Foundation. She is also the moderator of the Q & A panel of www.siliconehydrogels.org and a frequent contributor to the web site. Kathy has published widely in refereed journals and professional publications and has presented papers and given invited lectures and continuing education courses at conferences worldwide. Her research interests include the ocular response to contact lenses, silicone hydrogel materials, visual performance, and the measurement of ocular discomfort. |
