In 1979, Diane graduated from the Optometric Secretarial course at Conestoga College in Kitchener. She worked as an Optometric Assistant in private practice for ten years, gaining experience in many aspects of the practice including contact lens care and instruction, frame purchasing, fitting and adjusting, lens verification and bookkeeping. Diane was hired as a Research Assistant by the Centre for Contact Lens Research in 1989 and currently holds the position of Research Coordinator. She is responsible for coordination of the administrative aspects of the research conducted in the Centre, supervision of the administrative staff, financial matters and liaising with the research staff, industry sponsors, University departments and other Centre associates.
