Pearson International Airport to Kitchener-Waterloo
From Pearson International Airport, take Highway 427 South a short distance (less than a mile) to Highway 401 West. The 401 will take you all the way to Kitchener-Waterloo (about 50 miles).
Highway 401 to the School of Optometry
Exit Highway 401 at Highway 8 West (Kitchener), and take Highway 8 to the exit for Highways 7 and 8 East (to Waterloo). Be sure to bear to the right at this exit, or you will end up going the wrong direction. This highway will become Highway 85 (Conestoga Expressway). Exit at University Avenue West - the second University Avenue exit. Take University Avenue to Phillip Street (approximately 8 stoplights). Turn right onto Phillip Street. Go one long block to Columbia Street, and turn left. The School of Optometry will be on your right. Continue past the building to the next stoplight (Hagey Blvd) and turn right. Make another right-hand turn at the first road, which will take you behind the Optometry building. Park in Parking Lot X, which is on the left, across the road from the Optometry building. Parking is $2.00 Canadian (quarters, $1 or $2 coins only).
Highway 401 to the Waterloo Inn
Exit at Highway 8 West (Kitchener), and take it to the exit for Highways 7 and 8 East (to Waterloo). Be sure to bear to the right at this exit, or you will end up going the wrong direction. This highway will become Highway 85 (Conestoga Expressway). Go past the two University Avenue Exits and take the King Street North cut-off. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto King Street North and go under the overpass. The Waterloo Inn is just past the stoplight on the right hand side (beside the Parkway Ford car dealership).
Waterloo Inn to the School Of Optometry
When leaving the Waterloo Inn, turn right onto King Street North, go past Weber Street and then turn right at the next stoplight at Columbia Street. Take Columbia Street all the way to the School of Optometry (3 intersections). The School is just past the intersection of Columbia and Phillip Street and is on the right hand side (on Columbia Street just past the railroad tracks). Continue past the building to the next stoplight (Hagey Blvd.) and turn right. Make another right-hand turn at the first road and this will take you behind the Optometry building. Park in Parking Lot X, which is on the left, across the road from the Optometry building. Parking is $2.00 Canadian (coins only).
